How to cleanup after a storm?

1. Make sure to not walk the facility or property until a licensed contractor clears it safe. 

2. Begin the water extraction process. It is critical to get all standing water out immediately which will prevent secondary damages from happening. Secondary damages can include, mold or other types of microbial growth. 

3. Start placing drying equipment that will quickly begin to complete the drying process. At SERVPRO we have everything from air movers, portable dehumidifiers, and even large commercial desiccants. 

4. Document each step of the job with plenty of photos and notes. These can be critical for insurance company if requested.
